The Inland Cladocera and Copepoda Fauna in Greece

Greece is situated in the East Mediterranean region and Balkan peninsula, i.e., a European biodiversity hotspot with high endemism subterranean freshwater fauna, highlighting need to understand its biodiversity. More are expected be discovered after sampling understudied regions, especially islands, as well such temporary pools, swamps, ditches, puddles, littoral parts lakes, molecular studies needed clarify various cases complex taxonomy.
